Malta at War Museum

The new museum will be inaugurated on April 15th, 2012  which is the 70th anniversary from the awarding of the George Cross to Malta in 1942.

The Malta at War Museum in Birgu, is undoubtedly Malta’s best presented testimonial of the great ordeal suffered by the Island during the Second World War. The site focuses on the daily life of wartime Malta telling the story of how this spec of an island managed to withstand one of the fiercest onslaughts in modern history. It offers a unique experience to the visitor through a combination of original film-footage, expert guiding and much in the way of original artefacts and memorabilia, all of which are nicely presented in a new modern setting.

This Museum occupies the ground floor of the old casemated barracks within Couvre Port of Vittoriosa (Birgu) – The original main entrance into this city.

Decorated window film for Sexmuseum Amsterdam

We can make more then display mannequins and museum figures. For the Sexmuseum Amsterdam we have made a giant decorated window film “Winter” with appropriate lighting.

Later 2012″, “Winter” will be replaced by the themes “Spring”, “Summer” and “Autumn”. The lighting is variable in colour and intensity.

The decorations are based on the work of Alphonse Mucha (24 July 1860 – 14 July 1939), a Czech Art Nouveau painter and decorative artist.

Te Hikoi Southern Journey

Te Hikoi Southern Journey

A “must see” exhibition created by local Dave Asher and his volunteers. This story shows the effects of war, and how the wars effected small communities where the local lads went to war, a lot to never return, and how lives changed forever for their mothers, wives and children. Enter the story through a World War 1 trench, see the haunted look in the soldier’s eyes. See the raw emotion. Watch footage, see photos of those who never came home, look at the mother, reading her son’s story, with the tears rolling down her cheeks; see the real poppy from Flander’s Field sent from a lad home to his mum……………….Bring a hankie or two – every man woman and child included!

Nationaal Oorlogs- en Verzetsmuseum

Nationaal Oorlogs- en Verzetsmuseum

War belongs in the museum. That is the motto of the Dutch National War and Resistance Museum, which is one of the two theme museums in Liberty Park. In the National War and Resistance Museum, the history of the Second World War is presented. Here, you will see how it came to be that, in a period of five years, more than fifty million people lost their lives. But also how the oppressed population managed to cope with restrictions and shortages in a resourceful way. Attention is given to the resistance in those days, but also to the persecution. And finally, of course, to the liberation, with special attention to the Battle at Overloon.

Koninklijk Museum van het Leger en de Krijgsgeschiedenis

Koninklijk Museum van het Leger en de Krijgsgeschiedenis
Musée royal de l’Armée et d’Histoire militaire

A survey of more than 10 centuries of military and technological history: that would perhaps be the best way to describe the Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and of Military History. The collections range from suits of armour over valuable firearms and masterly crafted swords to armoured vehicles and airplanes.

Uniforms both Belgian and foreign demonstrate the evolution in military equipment and the influence of civil fashion on military clothing.

The history of our country is of course never far away: the Austrian, French and Dutch periods, Belgian independence and military politics, the weal and woe of the dynasty, the big world conflicts,… Everything is brought back to life through numerous paintings, sculptures, decorations and other memorabilia.
